We are pleased to offer three luxurious shepherd huts, Spean, Treig and Roy.

What is a Shepherd Hut?

A shepherd’s hut was used by shepherds between the 15th and 20th century as a shelter during the lambing and season. They usually had a bunk for the shepherd to sleep and a stove to keep him warm – and to keep an orphan lamb warm. Many of them had iron wheels to move them to where they needed to be but they were not luxurious!

Our traditional huts looks and feels classic, but they are brimming with contemporary conveniences. When you venture outside, you’ll be as impressed with the surroundings as much as the hut. There’s a fire pit, small garden, private parking for your car and spectacular views. You can even upload your favourite photos to your social media, as wifi is available too.

Our shepherds huts have an impressive patio area with firepit for outdoor dining in the Highland surroundings.  They also have a well equipped kitchen and lots more including:

What facilities can I expect?

  • a king size bed with all linens
  • a television
  • a table for two
  • heating
  • ensuite shower-room and towels
  • free wifi and USB charging
